imMEDIAte e-Commerce imMEDIAte e-Commerce’s Consulting/Project experience relevant to other international financial sites imMEDIAte e-Commerce have been appointed as the South African e-Commerce partner to Columbia Tristar Pictures. Columbia has rolled out the first phase of their e-commerce strategy, i.e. their web site, which was purely a marketing and branding exercise. A business to consumer and business to business strategy is currently being formulated and will be rolled out over the next year. A number of the imMEDIAte e-Commerce executive staff come from a banking and financial background and this has provided a firm basis assessing the needs of our financial clients and devising a strategy and roll-out for them. imMEDIAte e-Commerce are currently advising an Israeli investment bank on e-commerce strategy and will be developing and implementing an online investment and clearing facility for the institution. Other International Experience: imMEDIAte e-Commerce are currently managing and implementing online portals in the UK, South Africa and the USA. These are large implementations involving substantial integration work with third party legacy systems. In one case the operators have raised substantial first phase equity funding and will be heading for a IPO mid-2001. These sites have been designed to manage substantial volumes and CRM functions for these. imMEDIAte e-Commerce & New Members How it will Work:
- imMEDIAte e-Commerce will assess the member's particular needs, scope of the project and goals.
- Then define a mandate from the member as well as co-ordinate formation of a business structure (see below).
- Then work with imMEDIAte e-Commerce to introduce the necessary site changes and development in close consultation with the member.
- Monitor, co-ordinate technical development, report back and initiate the database mining and development techniques which later enable new business for that member
- Ongoing relationship building through member's financial site to grow revenue sources e.g. advertising revenue, commissions on sales of financial products and develop the new site's core business which will be to attract investment into their area of production etc..
- There are four sites with global e-commerce potential that are ready to be developed. These sites and existing communities linked to them represent:
- Channel Island specialist professional financial services which have substantial links with US and European banks and multinationals
- Art Review. High net worth individuals and art investors with a qualified database already more than 5 000 strong.
- Member's financial site
It could also possibly be a proposed joint venture with Member that be initiated.

An offshore joint venture company with imMEDIAte e-Commerce will be formed, the structure and financing requirements to be negotiated.
imMEDIAte e-Commerce see the priority as the utilisation of a window of opportunity that is open while more global businesses wish to capitalise on the Internet. Relatively few companies know how to maximise returns from the Internet. Although competition is growing fast.
